Learning from a cocoon

A child was playing and found a cocoon of a butterfly on a low branch. He picked up this body and there appears to be a small hole there. The boy was stunned to observe a small hole because it appears there was a butterfly struggling to free themselves out through the hole. Then, behold, the butterfly stopped trying, he had tried his best look and seems a waste to exit through a small hole in the tip cocoon.
